No Pug Left Behind
Pug Rescue of Austin is a nonprofit 501c3 organization (under the fiscal sponsorship of Austin Community Foundation) dedicated to the rescue and placement of abused, neglected and unwanted pugs. We do not discriminate on the basis of health or age.
Our mission is to provide a safe, caring and humane refuge for abandoned pugs and to insure quality adoptive homes.
Pug Rescue of Austin promotes responsible pug ownership thru public education about the unique needs of pugs and a mandatory spay/neuter policy.
Urgent NEED for Donations!
Puggo De Gallo's Story
Puggo De Gallo came to PRA in late December 2009 after being attacked by a wild animal on his owner's property. Puggo suffered horrific injuries which his owner could not afford to pay for. PRA took him in and he immediately went into emergency surgery to repair extensive open wounds. He also contracted MRSA, a medicine resistant staph infection, requiring him to be in constant isolation at our veterinary clinic. He is still in isolation and undergoing treatment which is a huge expense to the rescue. Please consider making a donation to help offset the cost of his care.
